Semana Santa means spring break for two weeks for us here in Mexico. Having all 3 kiddos home with me all day for two weeks was going to mean I needed to find ways to keep us busy. And of course J couldn't be around to help much so it was on me to find things to do. I admit, it was kind of nice not having to get the kids up early and ready for school, and definitely didn't mind not having to drive 2 hrs everyday getting them to and from school.
We got invited to a birthday party and it took place at a place called Club Atlas. This place was unbelievably nice. I tried to see if we could get a membership there, but the price was outrageous! So hopefully there will be more parties there in the future.
I had heard a lot about this water park called Tobolandia. I heard it was a good one, but that it was far away. I was able to arrange to go with some friends and we took the drive out to Chapala and spent the day at the waterpark. It was a party! I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! I was happy we went and happy the kids had so much fun.
Another place I discovered during this break was a park, called Parque Metropolitano. This park is HUGE. And they have trampolines that are available to rent, which would have been awesome, only the park was so busy the day we went, so there was no way to rent one. But good to know for next time.
Another event that took place, an event which I really wish would never have happened, was Noah got stitches. See what happened was...I got a knock on my door, and it was the neighbors two houses down, telling me about something that happened to Noah. Of course I didn't get everything they were saying since it was in Spanish, but I pretty much understood that something was wrong. I freaked, called J and told him (before I knew what was wrong) to get home asap. They showed me the way to the bathroom, and my first image was my 5 yr old son laying in some stranger's arms, with his face covered in blood and a big nasty gash in his forehead. When I see things like this, I get weak. Not just because of all the blood, obviously. But because he just seemed so little and yet he was so tough. He wasn't crying or freaking out. He seemed so calm. I was so grateful for that. I was also so incredibly grateful for my neighbors and the way they showed care and concern for him. It was a blessing that he went to their house (apparently he and his buddies tried to come home first, but I guess I didn't hear) but if I would've had to deal with the situation on my own, I would've been a wreck.
J came home immediately after I called and took him to the hospital to get stitches. Noah, such a tough guy. Didn't cry when he got the stitches either. So how did this happen?! He was messing around on J's trailer and fell off.
Boys will be boys...??
Some other fun things our break consisted of...
Easter
Trip to Galerias mall
Museum

So now kids are back in school, and I openly admit, this is a good thing! Back to our schedule. It will be nice.
Good:One of my friends who left to AZ is coming back tomorrow! Yeah for more friends in MX!
Bad: I am in the middle of potty training Lola. It is the death of me. She mostly decides to go potty everywhere, except the toilet. Being patient with her is proving to be most difficult.
Loving: "If you want your life to change...your choices must change and TODAY is the BEST day of your life to BEGIN."
