nine.

July 12, 2002.
It has been 9 years today. I married the perfect person for me. Let me explain why this day was amazing for me...

I really had a hard time during my youth. I had to make hard decisions. There came a day that I thought would be the worst day I would ever experience. It is definitely a day that I will never forget. It was on this day that my mom reminded me that I would be ok. And that I would remember this moment when I got married. That I would find someone and marry in the temple and my life would never be the same...

I met J in college. I did not think much of him at first, other than the fact that I was totally and completely attracted. Mostly, he was one of "those" guys. But then we hung out one day, and it was never going to be the same. We got married less than a year later.

I'm not into being super "mushy, sappy, cheesy, etc." But I will say this...I am lucky. I know I have a great man. I can say that he would do anything in his power to make me happy.  We aren't perfect. We struggle. Who cares...Who doesn't?! At the end of the day, I know he loves me no matter what. I know he's a good dad. I know he's honest. I know he's kind. I know he's compassionate. I know he works hard. When it comes to the things that matter most...J has successfully conquered.

We aren't together today. This might be the hardest anniversary ever. Some of the sacrifices we make to do this are harder than I can deal with. So I might just have to go out and get me a treat and remember why I love him so much.

happy nine.

XO
